Who’s required to take a boater’s certificate exam?
Anyone born on or after January 1st 1988 who plans to operate a jet ski is required to complete a boaters certificate exam per Florida State requirements.
Passengers who will not operate a watercraft are not required to complete the exam.

Jet Ski Rental Guidelines

Reservation Required.

For verification, all renter(s) must have a valid photo ID.

Drivers must be at least 18 years old to operate jet ski equipment. Drivers must be 18 years old to rent jet ski equipment. Passengers must be at least 4 years old. Children are only allowed with an accompanying adult.

Minors will need a parent/guardian signature

All motorized boat operator born on or after January 1, 1988, operating a boat of 10hp or more is required by Florida law to pass a boater education card examination unless riding as a passenger with someone exempt from the test.

Maximum allowed weight per set ski 375lbs (*limit 2 adults per jet ski • limit 1 adult 2 children per jet ski)

All renter(s) and passengers must sign their individual/separate waiver form and PWC checklist.

Rentals are inspected before and after the rental period.

Renter(s) is/are responsible for all or any damage, repair, and labor costs.
